Banshee

An elf or metavariant inflected with HMHVV. Victims of the disease are exaggeratedly tall and gaunt and gain most of the typical abilities of vampires—enhanced senses, immunity to age, poison, and disease, mistform, and regeneration—as well as their severe allergy to sunlight, chronic essence loss, and vulnerability to wooden objects. The banshee feeds on essence by creating an emotional link to their intended prey by their ability to induce fear. The victim is then pursued to the point of exhaustion, where the banshee proceedes to completely drain them of essence. Like other vampiric subspecies, the banshee is also capable of spreading the infection to others.
