Bundeswehr

Bundeswehr (roughly "Federal Defence") is the name of the AGS military.
It consists of the three branches Heer (army), Luftwaffe (air force) and Marine (navy).
According to the disarmament treaties of 2041 the Bundeswehr is a pure defense force limited to a strength of 250,000 soldiers.
The Bundeswehr used to be a conscript army with a compulsory 12 months military service time for every citizen, male and female. This was changed in 2060 and transformation into an all-volunteer military started.

The Bundeswehr is well-trained and -equipped, cyberware is common among officers.
