The Awakened Griffon very much resembles its mythical counterpart, with a large feline body, powerful avian wings, sharpened front talons for forelimbs and a raptor's beaked head.

[edit] Related Species

The Asian griffon (Alatusleo serpens) is more reptilian in appearance, with a scaled head and neck and membraned spines running down its back.

The False griffon (Opinicus falciform) appears very similar to the common griffon, except it lacks wings.
