Halflings

Halflings are a Dwarf subtype originally from the British Isles. They are smaller and not as stocky dwarves. They also have a childlike appearance. Halflings generally prefer the rural life to that of the urban. Halflings rarely exhibit magical ability.

Halflings are between two and four feet (0.6-1.2 m) tall, the average height being three feet six inches (1 m). They tend towards stoutness and have slightly pointed ears.

Their feet are furry with leathery soles, so most Halflings hardly ever wear shoes. They are fond of an unadventurous bucolic life of farming, eating, and socializing.

Halflings enjoy at least six meals a day, not including snacks, when they can get them - breakfast, second breakfast, elevenses, lunch, tea, and dinner/supper. They like simple food such as bread, meat and cheese, have a passion for mushrooms, and also like to drink ale and beer. Many prefer real ales and beer rather than that soy drek.

Halflings also enjoy an ancient variety of tobacco, something that can be attributed mostly to their love of gardening and herb-lore. This may explain why many Halflings that become addicts choose things like Deep Weed to BTLs.
